Mk2 Golf Starting Issue
Evening!
The Golf has been dead for a little while now and it's time I got it sorted. It's a 1.6 Driver and has power (Jump leads from my other Golf). The Golf clicks when the ignition is engaged but nothing else... (See video below)
Ignore the sound of the running engine, that's the other Golf lol
Is this a dead starter motor for sure?

I had a similar issue on a polo years ago. The starters engaging but not spinning to turn the engine over. Problem was not enough juice as I had a bad negative connection on the battery terminal.
Since your jumping it from a good battery I'd say it's either the starter motor itself or a bad earth.

could be a stuck starter solenoid also. Bash it with a hammer and bar if you can reach it or rock it back and forth in gear to free it

are you sure its got enough juice? I'd take the battery off the other golf and try it
Had a similar problem on my mum's rover 25. Wouldnt start, even with booster packs etc turned out to be a seriously dead battery

The battery is showing 13.7 volts. Only reason I don't want to swap the batteries is because if it isn't that, i'm stuck with two Golfs with dead batteries lol

Sounds like either no power or starter is knackered.
Swap the starter motors out of her golf into yours then try.

Take the starter off and test it on a battery. They you know if it's shagged or not.
