Default ARP bolt tightening

After a quick search i found that headbolts should be tightened to 62lb/ft three times retightened and checked again after engine has reached working temperature ( i guess retighten when cold again)
Rod bolts to be tightened to 52lb/ft

Can someone please confirm or correct these numbers please??

Cheers Alex

So not using standard head bolts? Or rod bolts?

Autodata is for standard items. ARP bolts will most Likley be different so Autodata will not help in your case.

I have been looking at raising the rev limiter on my phase 2 vtr to 7500rpm, should I get these arp head and rod bolts just to be safe ?

I believe ARP bolts are torque differently than standard stretch head bolts.

And why raise the limit? Power drop off anyway so will not be gaining anything.

Also believe PEC sell ARP bolts, so maybe worth ringing them regarding this, or atspeed as they have use ARP Head bolts on there turbo builds so will know the correct torque setting ect.

Newmann ph3s don't come out of there power band till 7K the engine will be a fairly respectable spec by the new year...

Cylinder head will be ported to match the inlet and exhaust manifolds, polished ports/valve seats/chambers the lot, newmann ph3, bmc or raceland induction, super sprint manifold race tube and backbox, lightened and balanced flywheel cranck and rods, will also have the obviouse all new seals gaskets water pump belts, 8mm leads, correct NGK heat range spark plugs, baffled sump and so on...... With the future bringing itb's eventually ahahah

Maybe 7500k is abit much but 7200 would be what I'm looking for would I need arp bolts to reach this limit safely

wouldn't need ARP bolts for say a 7,300rpm limit - I'd personally look at ARP bolts for standard rods if I was regularly hitting c.7,800rpm.

At that sort of rpm, the hydraulic lifters are reaching their max rpm i think so still with a rev limit below 7,500rpm and you'll be fine on standard rods and lifters.

my opinion --arp head bolts --a waste of money --never had h/g go on any tu engine using std bolts at correct settings --even boosted ones using 2 h/gaskets
rod bolts --those numbers will be fine ,providing you have then well greased up
