Default Rough BHP Estimate - Mods

So we have a VTS bottom end that's been rebuilt with race bearings and new piston rings. The rest is standard, rods etc.

We're fitting the below parts to this rebuilt engine and was wondering the rough BHP we would be looking at after a remap. Also would the standard ECU be able to cope with these parts and a remap?

- Polished & Ported & Gas Flowed Head
- Larger Inlet & Exhaust Valves
- Piper BP285H Cams
- Direct to Head Throttle Bodies
- 4 Branch 4-2-1 Manifold
- Decat, Non Res, Magnex Back Box

You'll need a standalone ECU for the throttle bodies (some say the stock ECU can be mapped for it but... good luck with that).

Utter waste of money and effort trying to fit larger exhaust valves. Pointless so don't bother. If you want larger inlet valves, use a JP4 cylinder head. Come as standard with 1mm larger inlets.

Rough BHP would be 160 on an honest dyno - more obviously if you go to a quote-me-happy place. And there's plenty of em...

I see your 160bhp and i'll raise you to 165-170bhp.

Any info on pistons used? Hi comp ones i presume?

My old old engine made 166bhp with 708's & GRX R1000 TB's on a non quote me happy RR so with the addition of hi comp pistons and a ported head i'd expect more than 160bhp.

My last engine made 192bhp with bent valves on a dyno before being stripped down, my new engine will make...

I'm presuming not forged as op said "standard bottom end". 160-165 is about where it'll be
