I turn the key into the start position, it fires up, i let off and it dies, if you hold it in the start position it will run sweet just with the sm going, but once you let go of the key it cuts out. any suggestions?

could it be the ignition barrell? Its recently had an unlocked ecu fitted to it and ran fine for a few days, thought maybe it was the throttle body as it wouldnt idle, so removed it, cleaned it and polished it up, struck up and idled then died.

The pump doesn't prime when you turn the ignition on no, but i hard wired it in so it worked and still nothing. With my ecu being unlocked can i fit any old barrel and it will continue to run?

as long as the ECU and the immobiliser box are matched. i dont think it matters what ignition barrel you use as long as the ECU can identify the key.

in that case, you just need to swap out the ignition barrel and locks associated with the old key, or if you can, get a new barrel set to match your current key
