Bleeding brakes is pretty straight forward but just time consuming, try and borrow a pressure bleeder from someone! Then it is soo easy!

You didn't say how much you got your brake setup for?
Stop being lazy and read back! Lot's of nice pics... No, it's a big valve head from HiFlow. Cost around £850 IIRC. Not 100% on the brake price yet, as I need to check my credit card. I got some money knocked off, but I need to check myself for definite.

oh and the carbon fog inserts are a right biatch to get right.
Sure thing bud, cheers.

I know, I had enough trouble fitting the current white ones...

Heh. I really wanted 2 piece as they are lighter, but they only come with bigger discs unfortunately, and I wasn't going to be doing a 330mm setup!

I never asked. How are you getting on with the wheels? Are you happy with them?

For any weight freaks out there, ahem, like Toadus, ahem... The calipers weigh just under 1.5kg each, and the mounting brackets weigh around 200 grammes each. The discs weigh a zillion tonnes each!

Finally our man gets some proper brakes aye!

I think you have the lot sorted now. Do you still have those suspension worries or is that
all sorted now too? Once you get to grips with the car on the track I imagine this car will
be quick a beast.

My only concern is on longer circuits you may struggle with the S1 box? Silverstone I wouldnt
even bother man its like driving on the motorway on some of the straights

Agreed. When i did it at Trax with the old 1.0 engine in i never went below 50mph even with that engine, only remember braking 3 times too- engine braking ftw.

Lot's of worries still Rush. I'm really hoping to get my braking issue sorted when I get new brake lines fitted and the ABS system removed.

I don't think the S1 will be an issue, as with my current tyres I have a top speed of nearly 140mph I think. Not that the car would hit that, as it's running crap at the minute.

Willsy, what happened to you then? I remember reading your progress thread and stuff, then you vanished!

Thats not too bad then. Should be sufficient enough I would of thought. At the Brands
trackday is it just the Indy circuit? If so then mate your going to have a blast. If mine is
fixed by then I "will" try to come watch/visit. Is such a simple but awesome track.

I no longer believe Willsy is a real person. Hes like a ninja/ghost/jedi/phantom/ghoul yadda yadda

Pick up a copy of PFC Toadus, you may notice a certain Yellow 708'ed Saxo on the cover.

Right, bit of a plug here for www.BigBrakes4U.co.uk but I think they deserve it, and people have asked about prices too...

The whole kit came to £648.97 including VAT and delivery. I didn't ask for braided hoses nor brake fluid, yet to my suprise, they sent me both. When I mentioned I was from SaxP forum, Gary (the manager I think) said he would take £30 off my total order, whatever I decided upon. So that price above is what it cost me in total, with the reduction taken off. If I do the same products from the likes of RimStyle.com it comes to £754.95... Winner.

Thanks Ben.

How's it impossible bleeding the system on your own? I think it's the ABS system myself, but who knows? If it still isn't sorted after this, the only thing left will be suspension.

Brakes look F*cking awesome man!

As for self bleeding, use one of those wee brake bleeding kits!

You tried removing am ABS sensor? If a sensors faulty/missing the whole system should shut off and you can see if it still pulls without the abs system on?
