Oils

Hi it's my first post on here, I'm picking up a VTR on Sunday (completely standard, how I like it) moving up from my 1.2 Clio now insurance is a little more reasonable.

When I get it I just wanna give it a really good service so it's all how I like it. After owning motorbikes (one of them very highly strung with ridiculous service intervals including oil change and valve adjust every 300 mile!) I've become a little perticular about oils.

What would you recommend for a standard VTR, road use only and only ever driven properly once warm? I want it to keep the engine fairly quiet and protect it obviously. Also I think I'm going to change the gearbox oil for peace of mind, any suggestions? Price doesn't matter too much.

I know my stuff with bike oils but there a little different as they have to lubricate the wet clutch too so can't be too 'good' as it will slip lol.

i would go with either castrol magnatec 10w40 or mobil super s 10w40 mate and the only gearbox oil i know of is comma but im sure theres a few more out there
