Default Exhaust queiry, - BAFFLES

Is there any chance of packing the backbox with more material to make it quieter or is there the use of baffles on a car exhaust?

Reason why im asking is im looking for a quiet exhaust that has the looks and power, but a less noisy exhaust.

Maybe a silenced centre section would do the job?

if you feel like modding the backbox a bit you can use a bung similar to what many jap car exhausts come with

should b simple enough to do but would look wank.

surely packing an exhaust with wire wool or summat would totally defy the point of fitting a performance exhaust though.

But the baffles have actually been proven to cause more backpreasure, so in theory it could work better, theres 2 ways of doing it, wire wool (its in most exhausts anyways, OR a baffle which is inserted into the tailpipe, in otherwords it would look like what the milltek exhausts look like as they have baffles in most of them, which im not too fond of either - but would serve its purpous of having a quieter car

performance exhausts are loud because of the design. if you get one that actually improves power and then change the design to reduce the noise you'll reduce its ability to increase power.
