loving your car toad bonnet and roof look sweet as and match your wheels perfectly. Are you going to smooth where the pug badge used to be or put the pug badge back on?

Looks sweet mate! How much did the roof pannel cost you including fitting? Could be temped to do that to mine until I can afford a full carbon roofskin

Cheers mate. I think I'm done with the body work for now. It's been a mission I can tell ya! Time to relax for a bit now.

Thanks Ben mate. I'm a bit broke now, so the new calipers will have to wait. Possibly a new master cylinder around the corner. I was up at Steve Hill Motorsport the other day, as they did the bonnet work for me. I talked to them about the braking issue again, and they said the best test I could do for the calipers, is to have an insturment that the calipers can squeeze, and it will measure the force being applied. This will tell straight away if once side is giving more / less braking power. Unfortunately, they don't know where I could get such an instrument! ha!

Aye, I agree. Funnily enough, the original bonnet didn't fit quite right in that area too. It's not perfect, but it ain't bad for getting the job done at least.

Thanks dood. What do you mean by smoothing the area where the badge used to be? I haven't got any plans to put the pug badge back on mate, I'll sell the old bonnet with it still on...

Hehe, Hmm, I'm not sure. maybe... ? But it might start looking a bit daft. I'd have to trial that one on photoshop I think.

Thanks mate! I bought the panel from Streamline, cost £50. Taking out the sunroof was almost impossible. I DO NOT recommend this to anyone. And I'm not being funny! I got a bodyshop (friend on mine owns the place) to bond the panel on and re-spray the roof. It cost a lot more than I expected as it took so damn long to get the sunroof properly out.

Dibz, they're not that heavy. IIRC, they weighed about 2.5kg each and the polycarbonate versions weighed around 1.2kg each.

just read through your whole thread m8! can't believe iv never looked at it. your car is superb toad. iv stole the paragraph from one of your threads
Some insurance companies are fairly flexible when it comes to modifications. When I called them up a previous time, I told them that I had fitted bucket seats, harnesses, stripped it out, fitted a big valve head, and also fitted bigger calipers and disks. They said to hang on one sec while they check... Less than a minute later, they said "No, that's fine, this won't effect your premium at all. You've already declared a lot of modifications, so any additional ones don't really matter..." LOL
if you don't mind me asking, who are you insured with? as mine is coming up for renewal and i have engine mods planned soon

Im not sure if Im keen on the whole look. As Dan said it doesnt seem to sit
flush with the headlight which would annoy me to death.
Plus you need to get the badge recess removed in the bumper now lol. Otherwise
very motorsportish :d

Fair enough mate. The old bonnet sat just like that, but nobody ever noticed, lol. I can always adjust the bonnet pin so the bonnet sits lower... I'll have a play about when I get some time. I'm more worried about this thread problem on the fanimould.

OK guys, I'll see what can be done with the front bumper. It might be a while before I do anything about it though. Thanks for the tip.
Yeah Jon, it's pretty nippy mate. I took Ben for a spin a few weeks ago, ask him.
