Default Iphone 4s due new phone.

I’m due to purchase a new phone soon. I will go for an unlocked 32gb 5s I think. Just wondering, when I back up all my data from the 4s (which I will probably trade in/sell, as battery life is fairly dud on it and it likes to reset a lot) all my games and apps photos contacts etc go to the new 5s when I synch it with Itunes from the old 4s synch correct? Also more importantly I was interested to know, will my game data transfer from the apps also? So certain progress within game apps transfers during the synch, or would you simply have to start all over again from scratch on the game apps you have? Quite curious about this.

Game progress should stay. On most games the progress is stored online so there should be no issue at all.

Yeah I wasn't sure. Most games I used are offline though, thats why I wasnt sure. Unless it stores it on a server. But then if it's offline, how would it

Your progress will be saved in "the cloud"

I swear I disabled that though? As seemed pointless as could only store a low amount of storage data

The cloud was not Apple specific. You will find that most of the time the game data will store on their server which is why you can cross platform generally. Most of these games require a login on first use and that's how they tie the game to you.

Whe you plug it into your laptop select backup and when you restore your new phone it will be exactly the same down to the position of the apps
