Anyone with experience using VPN's?
Currently living in China (for a year) and can't access sites such as Facebook, YouTube and others due to the ridiculous firewall they have here.
Been speaking to a few others here about VPN's and most of them are using ASTRILL which I have looked at and seems OK but just wanted to see if anyone else has any experience in using any others and if they have any recommendations? As the reviews online for ASTRILL aren't great.
Yeah and I am trying to avoid the free one's as from what I have read, they aren't very secure.

Are you working out there? Does your employer have a VPN you can dial into?

Yes I am working out here. The employer doesn't use VPN they just recommended ASTRILL for personal use. I've just downloaded ASTRILL anyway, it's not great but I suppose it'll have to do

The exe for mullvad is 7.6mb you want it zipped up and emailed to ya, if so PM me dude

Not sure if the guy above sorted you out with one but I use https://www.overplay.net/ and its pretty decent, I live in Spain and like to watch catch ups on all the ITV Player, 4oD sites and need the VPN for it.

Cheers dude, but having paid for ASTRILL already I'm going to have to stick with it. It's actually not too bad, just getting used to the terrible internet speeds here lol.

Haha Yeah Internet is terrible in Spain too. Must be cool living in another country for a year though, especially China!

your antivirus might go spastic if you open it not sure, but have given you my contact details in email so you know its clean and safe

Yeah man it's amazing, only been here 3 weeks and not missing home one bit. The only downside is you get sick of Chinese food pretty quickly haha.
