rear disc conversion xr quiksilver
I have acquired a vtr axel already lowered with discs instead of drums but all the break lines have been cut I thought it would be a straight forward swop the bad ones for good ones but I have noticed there are a lot more lines than ive got I completely ruined my old axel trying to lower the torsion bar following a youtube video
my mate has quoted me 120 quid for new lines to be made and fitted my question is, is this needed to do the swop?

today has been fun took box off axel and routed the brake lines to callipers didn't have time to bleed them so will know tomorrow if my theory worked, but I have a question the vtr axel I bought off my friend was slammed when on his saxo but its not on my pug are they different heights I have got a sneaky suspicion I have used to many washers on the poly bushes.

it may make a slight difference due to the difference in bodykits between the vtr and quicksilver but I would have thought it should be similar height..

that's what I thought about the height, I don't think there is a wrong way of putting an axle in all the washers and bolts line up there is nothing stopping the axle seat properly. I did think of taking it off and putting it back on again but its a pain in the arse if it doesn't make any difference

BRAKE
not BREAK.
that would have been the load compensator, a wise idea to retain it or fit a single line and a bias valve or you'll have too much rear braking.

haha sorry about that sometimes I type too fast for my brain to notice brakes I do stand corrected.
I thought it was but wasn't very sure the brakes are shit hot at the minute the thing is the box had 4 pipes all cut off and I don't have another line for it to go so thought I would just get the car braking for now.

that funny thing on the axle with all the pipes is a brake limiter valve.
if you dumped that then i suggest you try to do an emergency stop and check if rears lock long before fronts --if so +it should happen --you will now know why it was fitted

I chopped mine off a while back, be careful when breaking whilst going around bends. The rear has a habit of trying to overtake the front.
