Default Renaultsport - Nuneaton

Hey people,

New to photography as it's never interested me until recently. Currently borrowing my dad's spare D40 which i will more than likely end up buying off him as I'm getting more enthusiastic about it. Trying to get my head round everything but finding it difficult to remember what I've been taught when I'm actually out and about taking pics!

Anyway, i grabbed some pics today at a Renaultsport meet and would love some feedback. I found it pretty hard as shadows were a major issue and it's only the second time I've been out to fend for myself with the camera. Not gonna link all the pics here so I've put some samples below.

Ye the shadows were a pain. Only solution would be a tripod with a remote?
