ive lowered my vtr 60mm on 16's,but bcoz i use 195/40 tyres the small sidewall doesnt fill my arches the way i wanted.i want 2go bout 10-15mm lower at the front but the only way 2do this is to cut the springs.i know cutting springs is not advised, but is all that bad when done on uprated springs and dampers?

faulkners could make you custom springs. I strongly advise against it there isnt a shock out there that can cope with that little suspension travel, the ride will be absolutely terrible

unless you go shorter dampers ie bilstein or coilovers then you wont get more than 40mm no matter what springs you put on as the damper physically doesnt travel that far. Im assuming your going for looks as anything less than a sound coilover setup will not give any form of decent handling on less than 45mm
