Default Sub & Amp - Any ideas what's wrong?

Right so i got my new amp and was all excited to get it in and blasting.

I'm not excited any more -.-

I haven't got much experience with these things but i wired it all up correctly last monday and it worked fine for about 10 mins. It sounded great and i was chuffed it was working so started to hide all my wires etc. i had to disconnect the power cable and reconnect it and since then it will not do anything. It will power up, the power light is on and so are the LEDs but no sound whatsoever.

I've tried everything i know to get it working:

Quadruple checked all wiring
Checked all fuses
Moved the Earth
Tried another speaker on the amp
Fiddled with settings on amp and head unit
Tried a different head unit
replaced speaker wire
bought new RCA cables

And most recently i noticed that if i took the power cable out of the amp it would stay on as long as the ground cable was plugged in -even if the other end of the ground was connected to anything, so how the hell was it getting power?!

Maybe/hopefully its an obvious answer and someone can make me look stupid, i would be forever grateful!

The Amp is only a cheapy: Auna Black Line 100

Thanks

Sure you haven't switched the remote line, the power cable and the earth cable around somehow? The power light staying on when power is disconnected could be simply the capacitors in the power stage supplying the led. Is it still on after a few minutes?

either that or the amp is fubar and is somehow grounding through its casing...

Have you checked your connections within the sub box, they could have worked their way loose during your ten minute play and by pure coincidence have fallen out.

The cables are all in the right places, to be honest i haven's waited that long for the lights to go off but i would say they are on for at least a couple of minutes!

Sounds stupid but double check your amp sound levels, when i put my sub in i didn't realise i had managed to turn down the sound on it, and i was fiddling around with wires for hours until i realised it was turned down, lol

It's red, but for the 10 mins it worked it was red too. So i thought it was just a red LED?

im not finding a user manual online, does the user manual you have state what colour the LED should be, usually be green for "good"

Amps usually have 2 led's . Green for good, red for something wrong and if they both light up at same time , you have blown the amp
