Split the lights tonight to spray the insides.
Going to do the grey parts in black and chrome rings in frozen white along with a few other bits and bobs.
Also sprayed the top and bottom grill in plastic primer too

Rubbed down the bonnet and boot today so they are both ready for primer
Also did some more filling up on bits and pieces around the car, mostly the front bumper
Also sprayed the rings in the headlights with plastic primer today. Doors are also nearly ready for primer too.
That dust though haha

DAMSK11's Mk6 Fiesta Zetec S Build Full Respray Big progress
Update Time.
Rubbed down the doors again today, they're almost ready for primer now, also rubbed down the insides of the lights ready for primer.
I've also been focusing on the front bumper, getting it smooth and filling up all of the scratches and what not on it...
Picture of the light rings.
Hopefully be ready for paint soon...

Not much of an update, but the front bumper is now ready for primer. Also rubbed down the drivers rear 1/4 panel and filled up a little mark. Other than that, the doors have been rubbed down again and are basically ready for primer. All i need to do now is the rear bumper and the car will be ready for paint.

Did a bit more on the car today, got the rear bumper so its nearly ready. Needs to be fitted now so I can finish where the cracks are and get the smoothed bits to feel right. Also finished off the damage on the rear wheel arch

Test fitted the bumper yesterday, needs a couple of adjustments and then I need to make some brackets up to hold it onto the car...(was held on with cable ties previously)
When its fitted properly i can finish the cracks and the smoothed bits
Tried it with the diffuser to see what it will look like

Little top on cracks in plastic
First of all drill a hole at the end of the crack this will prevent it cracking and more, rather than using rivets try drilling holes either side of the crack about 2-3cm apart , V the crack out too, then a piece of sticky mesh on the back of the crack and whack some fibreglass in from the back so it squeezes through the holes and then smooth some on the front, sand it down and put some filler in and voila
Here's my bumper after hitting a rabbit

I used the masking tape to keep an edge on the bumper. When the filler is rubbed down you pull the tape off and it leaves you with the edge that looks the same as the bumper

Finished the back bumper today so that is now ready for primer. Also took the doors off to get to the door shuts and inside of the doors.
Also painted the black part of the headlights, just need to spray the rights white and they'll be ready to put back together.

Started thinking of ideas for my boot. I want to keep the sub but it takes up a lot of room in the boot so thinking of doing something along the lines of this
My sub is 4 inches high so i though about making a false floor and raising it around 3 inches and having the other inch being in the spare wheel well. Raising the floor will allow me to keep the spare wheel too.
Quick mock up
Failing that I might make a box up and fit it at the side of the boot against one of the inner wheel arches.
