Lol yeah having 5 litres does help the tuning for sure! To go from standard power (576hp) to 720hp is about £900. Then an additional £500 for a gearbox map to sharpen that up too.
That gtr is brisk too eh.

yeah, 750 bhp and I think close to 700 lbft torque, the transmissions cant take much more as standard!
My friend Adam is office manager/trailer tower.
stage 5 is:
Forge front mounted intercooler with hard piping kit
Litchfield Turbo intake pipes
Litchfield 1,100cc Bosch Injectors
Twin fuel pumps
Litchfield Large Bore performance intake kit with larger MAF housing
90mm Milltek full exhaust system with 321 Stainless Steel Down Pipes
Improved boost control with custom Ecutek code
Revised ignition control, Variable Valve timing and Fuel maps
Reduced fuel consumption (especially on partial throttle conditions)
Increase in both power and torque across the whole rev range
Litchfield RACEROM Switchable maps for enhanced Economy mode and full Race mode
Litchfield Custom Launch Control settings when used with Gearbox Software upgrade.
£15k fitted inc vat :lol:

Ouch that's a lot!
£15k puts you in the 900hp arena on an RS6 - new turbos (and engine removal to remove/fit) are the big costs. And the same problem then: the gearboxes start complaining at about 1200nm (900ft/lb).

yeah, stage 5 around the reliable daily limit for a stock engine I believe, not bad for a 3.8 v6 though!
I think retail prices for both cars are close, £78k stock.
I know Litchfields have built a few strokers which are their LM900 and LM1000 builds, 4.0 and 4.2's, running 900-1000 on half a bar as dailys :o

I want 1k hp but MRC want silly money for developing it (they've not done one yet, but have done a couple of 900hp cars). I'd love to be in a position where I can justify it but in reality, the 900hp cars are already spinning all four wheels on launch. There's not a lot of point having more really lol - it's just chasing figures (which you know I'm good at but... I frankly don't have the pockets for in the big VAG world!)
