Recommendations for rear shocks
SO after finding one my shocks are fucked after 2 years use or so comes the time for some new ones. What ones would be a good upgrade and fairly priced and good for road use and lots of bumps and pot holes and stupid road humps?
Was considering Gaz but out me price rane.
Maybe Gmax, Apex, Bilstein,?
I did or still have on Monroe set but are fucked well one side is become a pain and makes a rattling sound when going over bumps when up stands feels a lot more springy than the other side that is firm and holds in place and is seeming fine like was new. Other side tho is really bouncy am guessing has broke or gas come our or oil.

Last lot of bilstien i got was was many moons ago direct from GMC ( above poster ) as he used to be one of the few that appeared to carry stock of real group n units ready for delivery. No idea if he still does or orders in now.

If you buy from any of the specialists you are not going to get confused with what you are buying. If you are wanting uprated then Bilstein are arguably the best for the price. B6/B8 is the same part number at the rear so theres not really much to get confused on.

Gaz GHA's on eBay are £120 posted with 2 years warranty, can't really do much better at that price. Obviously there are firmer/more expensive, but OP hasn't mentioned that he does track days and is a pro.

You dont need to be a pro to benefit from better quality suspension. I was watching a few Saxo's driving round Pembrey race circuit this weekend and it was easy to see who had spent more on suspension by how the cars drove over the bumpier part of the circuit.
Better suspension gives you more traction. Its probably more important on the road!

I was making the point due to people normally come and slate whatevers recommended, and tell OP he's better off going for an AST kit or the likes
