Default Any of you in Aberdeenshire? (clutch related)

Could have been doing with a hand to replace a clutch cable today. Not seeing where the cable goes into the bulkhead very well and not wanting to damage any retaining nut/grommet/clip/whatever it is?

It's really easy, you should be able to uncool it from clutch pedal side and draw it through to the engine bay I'm sure!

I wouldn,t say its an easy job --technically easy --but a pig to get cable under the rack+lined up with hole in bulkhead --best time to do it is when engine is out --if you have the choice --

It's so easy to do, just need a piece of string and a long screwdriver, just push the string through from inside the car (pedal side) through the grommet in the footwell, preferably a noticeable colour of string so you can easily see where it is when it comes into engine bay, then tie the string to the pedal side of the new clutch cable and pull it through, the rest is pretty much just a case of putting the new cable in the same position the old one was

I must be getting old --cos I never seen a clutch cable with a grommet on bulkhead --just the metal bit you have to locate the outer cable in which is hidden under the rack and not at the angle you think when you first look
throttle cable --yes there is a grommet
