It depends on what you want from the day.

We've run a whole range of tyres on the car. Sure - the slicks are the fastest, but really, at well over twice the price, is it worth it?

We're now on Nankang NS2-R's - extremely cheap, and 80-90% of the performance of a slick. When you're just out having fun, surely doing it cheaper plays a part.

You'll be faster on slicks no doubt about it. But for us now, doing so many track days a year, we've dialled it back to a cheap semi-slick. Because... why not? It already costs enough on semi slicks / brakes / fuel / entry!

agree...

i all depends....yes , they are expensive and not suited for every suspencion stiffness.
no need for coilovers , it just have to be stiffer .

but for me they worth every euro...michelin s9b.

can also use slicks at front and r888 at back , i ve tryed last week and works ok.

also i ve tryed A005 on 14 and they are also real good tyre.

the hard counpond on yokos a005 are softer than the michelin s9b, yokos also get heat easyer...
