In the next few weeks i will be smoothing my roof and respraying it black, i'll be adding some blue metal flake to the paint though so should look pretty nice when the sun hits it. Same colour will also be done on the new wheels when I get some.

In the mean time i've cleaned up my engine a bit

Still a lot more to do on it yet but should look pretty nice for ford fair in August.

Picked up these pro race 1.2's earlier, nice 6 hour journey :|

2 tyres need replacing but the other 2 are almost new toyo proxies

Test fitted one, will be spraying the rims white and giving them a good clean as soon as I get a couple of new tyres fitted.

Rubbed down the wheels today, 2 are ready for some new rubber tomorrow and then they can all be sprayed

Got some new tyres fitted today and also got the rims sprayed in primer, should be spraying them white tomorrow and lacquering the whole wheel.

Doing just the flat bit white and leaving the rest black, also doing the text black

Got the wheels sprayed, also tinted the rear 3 windows..side ones are ok..back one, not so much. What a massive pain in the arse that is.

Anyway

Will be cleaning up the black tomorrow and spraying the whole thing with lacquer then they should be fitted.

No pictures of my crappy tints as of yet, going to try sorting the rear one out tomorrow.

Wheels are lacquered and fitted...to be honest..not sure if I like the white rim, it will probably end up being sprayed black...

Ordered a white ford overlay for the rear badge today, should be here by the end of the week hopefully. Also expecting a heatwave tomorrow so will probably give the car a good clean.

Badge sticker came today, looks alright far away but a bit cack up close. Nothing like the one in the above post

Really need to get a new badge and do it again, the chrome on mine is a bit crappy

Ordered a set of 6000k HIDs today, they should be here later this week and weather permitting, should be fitted this weekend

Fitted the HIDs tonight, they look a lot better than standard, much brighter. One is being a bit temperamental at the moment, doesn't come on sometimes so i'll need to have a look at that again.

Chapter 69: The Clean up begins. Again...

As I plan on selling this after Ford Fair in August I thought it would be a good time to start cleaning it up a bit. Finally decided to do something about the massive speaker holes in my parcel shelf. Either going to repair them and wrap it in suede or get a new shelf all together which frankly seems a smarter thing to do. Also come pay day i'll be doing the front brakes and replacing the top mount on the drivers side as it knocks about and makes all sorts of noises. Also in the next couple of weeks i need to sort out the paint on the lower front grill surround, the rear diffuser and smooth and paint the roof... Busy couple of weeks for me it seems..

This week i'm smoothing the hole in the roof from the aerial, will have to get it in for paint on friday night or saturday so its ready for Sunday... Not much time.. should I keep the roof black or do it white this time?
