No doubt there will be detailing products which would do the same and may be considered more safe but a lot of detailing is down to scare mongering. All you need is a bit of common sense with the products you use really.
Things like fabric softeners aren't bad. If the seats are made with cottons ect use a clothing cotton specific etc. I think I may have used some bold on mine lol!!! still it worked and I didn't get staining or funny deterioration.
Failing that if you're unsure / or in doubt take it to a valeter and get them to sort it, shouldn't cost much .
They're lovely cars especially if you do motorway miles or have kids! If you map it you'll notice a big difference.

Cheers will give it a try this weekend, failing that my mate has his own car valeting business so will give him a shout. I prefer to do things myself if at all possible though.
It does currently have a tuning box on it which is going to be ripped out at some time soon as I heard it doesn't do the engine any favours.

Repaired the screen on a work colleagues Ipad today, as a result I have been given a pretty comprehensive unused autoglym kit. It was supplied to him by VW so he gave it to me as I wouldn't accept cash off him for sorting his Ipad.

Should be
They normally never actually put the stuff on the cars to begin with as its not economically viable

It's going into the garage this weekend.
There is a terrible grinding sound when the clutch pedal is pressed. Thinking it is either the DMF or the crank pulley is vibrating.
I have messaged the previous owner and he said get it into a garage for diagnosis and then he will get his mechanic to do what needs to be done if it is clutch related.
Hoping it is the clutch tbh.

Don't know, saw genuine receipts for big bills but no breakdown of what was done.
Will find out tomorrow hopefully what's happening

This is exactly the car I've been looking at getting. Toss up between the ST and a Ghia. DMFs are supposed to be a right bitch.

If it's had all that money spent on it, the clutch/dmf shouldn't be going again already, surely?

You can convert but it's not advisable as the vibration of the engine is worse.
The dmf should not have gone already if it was done you are right but as I said it might not have been done. Just seems odd that it had £1600 spent last year and £1200 this year .

Took it to a mechanic who confirmed it to be DMF failure, the guy is getting onto his mechanic and will get back to me.

He had better, I bought the car because he offered the warranty (signed by 4 people in total). Otherwise I would have walked away, from a legal perspective he can be seen to have sold goods by deception.

That's what some people said on the transit forum as well, but honestly you could not even tell the difference in the slightest, could well be a different story for the mondeo though
