Page Search
theres some big threads out there now, ive seen this function on other sites
basically where the page numbers are you have a search box, which you type the page numebr in and press enter to go to that page
or
a drop down box of all the page numbers maybe
think it would be good for sax-p

I think it's a good idea. Annoying when you want to go to say page 15 and theres 25 pages...goes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 Last page so you have to skip through loads

Look harder
On a large thread with many pages... it will say, for example: -
Quote:
Page 1 of 27 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 11 Next » Last »
|
To the right of where it says 'Last' there is an arrow. Press it, the type what page number you wish to go to.

There are probably dozens of features on the site that none of you use... and may not nkow they exist. I cant make them all stand out though can I?
Has anyone ever tried using threaded or hybrid display modes? Probably not... but just an example

Hehe, awh pred, i remember when i first found that page jump button
Or the arrow for 'jump to first new post' there are millions of helpful subtleties around the vBulletin forums (Hybrid & threaded views arent one of them though although theres a machine at work which has such a low resolution that hybrid mode helps a bit)

Threaded Mode - In this mode, a tree is shown along with every post. This tree allows you to see the relationship each post has to others, in terms of who responded to whom. Only one post is shown at a time.
Hybrid Mode - This mode is a mixture of the linear and threaded modes. The post tree is displayed like in the threaded mode, but multiple posts are displayed simultaneously like in the linear modes.
^^ sounds too complicated to me
