Project section & Amount of pics per post
Trying to do a project thread in pics section, was thinking a projects section would be best, seems to work very well on other forums
And in the process of doing this, i can't put more than 25 pics in my post, i've only done two updates so far, need the limit to be 200+ pics i'm guessing.

ditto that man. which is why my 'progress' (hahahahaha) thread is about 3 updates long.
bollocks to 'UPDATE: washed my car for the fourth time this week' updates. wank, just utter wank.
Alex... its a shitter defo but (a suggestion for others that might be reading) I just preview it until i get to 25 images (remember smileys included), copy and paste into word pad... write the next section, copy n paste y0 and continue until complete. then quickly post each bit in quick succession.

or post repetitive posts with reserved in.. then update each one with a different update..
ideally i think that all "update" posts should be put at the start of the thread..
for example
Update 1 - the beginning
someone randomly posts
then next time its
Update 1 - the beginning
update 2 - new bits fitted
someone randomly posts
or allow the user to move posts around?
would allow us to view someones thread alot quicker then going through 22 pages of the same replies over and over.. and not missing important info and pictures

Agree'd,
All other posts / questions can be answered and are then deleted automatically once the thread is updated again??

hm or the replies are showed in a smalelr forum.. just the username and comment.. theirfor you can view your entire thread (all updates) and then 50 comments per page after or so.. since it shouldnt take up much room..
people love comments and wouldnt want them to be deleted i guess

Or if we could simply post everything in the one post like you can on every other forum then it'd be fine lol I hate having to trawl through pages of gibberish when all i wanna see is project progress, all in one post.

on mine I've reserved a few posts at the beginning so i can update them along with the end of the thread... therefore a person can just look at the opening posts and get a run down of the complete progress.
yes. i'm one smart-ass mofo

This still desperately needs doing, loads of threads go for 50+ pages and quite frankly you've gotta be having a giraffe if i'm reading 50 pages just to follow project progress. We need to have unlimited pics in posts, and preferably a specific projects section.

Alex... its a work around but yes it takes the piss when people post
'nice work'
which then fills up the thread in no time.
you can go to your settings and increase the posts per page from 20 to 40.

Ive said this before.
A section for people to put their diary. which only they can post in the.
then a car chat section with a supporting thread for the project diary that people can put their comments in.
They have this on SW-CC and it works so much better.

In time, we will have a dedicated 'garage' section for things like this... but in the mean time, what quick hitters can we do to improve.
A Project Section... can be sorted in seconds if this is what people want.
Unlimited photos in a post. Yes, can be done, but dont agree with it. I will look at increasing the number of pics per post though.
Could make it so people can post the project thread, but people cannot reply... but thats not what you want is it...
Anything else?

Si can you not make it that the thread starter can update just the first post all the time. so in effect unlimited pics in the first post?

what, so you have the whole progress in the first page, and then rest is comments and chat?
also, cant we already do that with the edit button??

cant u have something like different litte sections in your progress report. like have a (tick box) on what you think of the prodject so far, and if any real comments have like a sort of inbox in the thread. if ya get what i mean. without filling up all the threads with comments like ..NICE...or looks great.... u get what i mean guys?
