Hackintosh
Anyone here running Mac OS on an Intel or AMD chipset laptop that came bundled with a Windows OS?
Looking for opinions on reliability etc

I've ran it pretty well on a netbook for a year or so.
Check out Lifehackers guide (it's updated regularly) the biggest problem you will come across is getting sleep mode to work but it is sorted easily if you have the right distro ad hardware.

My brother hgad tryouts with Lion on his PC. To be honest if you fancy changing the OS on a laptop you're better off with Linux.

I've just virtual machined it for now, I've tried Ubuntu in the past and tbh I didn't really like it. I think I may have to reside myself to the fact that I need to buy a macbook air next year.

Tonymac was always the best place for me, had it running on my PC for years, Leopard, Snow then Lion. Never bothered with Windows as it's utter shit.. Had a hackintosh until I could afford a real Mac!

The best way is to get hold of a student friend who can get one through the Apple education store, you get 20% discount
