Doesn't fairy contain salt? That's basically asking your car to rust!

Yeah mate heard an absolute horror story about a women cleaning her car with Fairy. Left it on the roof for too long and it actually decided to make it's way through the clearcoat. Nasty stuff tbh.

Oh dear.
I've got some wax...
What soap and polish should I be using then? I've got teeny areas around the locks and handles where the laquer has come off. Can that be rectified?

Wax is always good as a final coat of sealent to protect the paint.
Soap wise it doesn't have to be any special. Just make sure it hasn't got any wax in the shampoo itself. AutoGlym or Meg's Shampoo and Conditioner will do the trick, readily available and cheap.
Polish i'd go for AutoGlym Super Resin Polish. Again cheap and easy to get hold of. It's a very good polish and not very abrasive, but has enough power to get rid of light swirls and bring back a shine.
Not much that can be done about lacquer peel apart from a respray. If it was a slight scratch or a fade in the paint it could be rectified with a Machine Polish, but lacquer peel is a different matter.

Thanks for the info mate!
Yeah, it's definitely lacquer peel...
I'll make those bits and bobs my next purchase prior to washing the car again.

Yeah that's fine matey. Gives me a chance to get better with it. Should be able to do alot of work removing the worst of the swirl marks.

Flash All Purpose? Jesus might as well throw some paint stripper on and leave it as that.
I've also managed to get myself a somewhat 'louder' exhaust. Once i've got it, sorted a few little bits it shall be going on. Very excited to say the least.
P.S If anyone wants a Mint newish Magnex Full System let me know!
