personally i think it would be silly.
When I go on to the general chat I like to see what people have posted, it dosnt matter if its about girls, boys, cars, booze, death, boobs, whatever....
its intresting as I contribute in conversations I would not do usually.
It would be a pain having to go on to more sub forums to look at them all.
there woild be hundreds of seperate ones too.
cars
relationships
crashs
advice
death
birth
noisy neighbours
car got broken in to
chavs
news
ASW
the list could go on.......

i say its best as it is

I only wanted the techy non-saxo related car stuff separated.
I genuinely wanted to know why auto boxs have less gears, but in general chat, "What to have for lunch" was more popular and the post went un answered

Works very well on FSC. You get all the car chat which is quite in depth and isn't full of spam. Then you get off topic stuff like funny stories and just general banter in it.

I'm in favour of rems idea. Think it's long overdue!

I see what you mean.
the reason the question about lunch was replied to more was because alot of people dont know about gearboxs.... imo..

Exactly.
So if theres somewhere for the techy people to hang out in (not specific saxo sections) then they can offer their general advice to the general auto chat.

Means a section for Saxo VS too.

I love the general chat as it is.

Hardly in there anymore, usually in the engine + performance/suspension/styling/problems and now and then in the newbies to welcome them.

But sometimes i log in and cba to read about cars, but dont know what to look for. So i love the randomness (making up my own words i think..) of general chat.

Well I don't think post count should be on in the General Chat, but on in the Motoring Chat bit.
This way spam is "rewarded"
