Question Does chopping the rear bumper "alter the silhouette"?

MSA road going hillclimb regs...

Body (including aerodynamics)
11.4.1. Silhouette of the vehicle must remain unaltered
in construction, dimension and material. The silhouette
will be taken in the condition in which the car competes
(convertible closed cars competing with the hood or
top not erected shall have the silhouette determined in
that condition).

Personally i think not as the fuel tank is the lowest part under the car so whether the bumper is chopped or not the silhouette remains the same.

Opnions?

My regs are more specific in that they state 'side' silhouette must remain un-altered.

Rear silhouette is un-altered I think, from the pic above.
Depends on eligibility scrutineers opinion though, and whether they like you or not!

silhouette refers to exterior outline... overall shape so im gonna say no

and the saxo bumper should hang lower then the tank unless the car is on stilts

It'll be interesting to see what the scrutineers say if i enter my vts at a hillclimb with the bumper done.
