Default Gearbox ratios

I wonder what differences the numbers say between a stock 1.6 8v gearbox and a 16v gearbox. Saxo ph1 1.6 8v (89hp) engine.

Found these on the forums, can anyone explain me what the differences are

1587 cc (vts)

Okay so in the UK market, ALL VTS cars are 1.6 16v, and all VTR cars are 1.6 8v.

What we call a "VTS" is actually the standard box that comes with the 1.6 16v engine. it's a shorter gearbox because the final drive is shorter.

Use something like this http://www.apexgarage.com/tech/gear_ratios.shtml will help
