Thanks for the comments guys my plans are currently on hold. Insurance is a nightmare for the black one as a vts conversion as I have 0 no claims. Its currently under my dads name and I can't legally drive it yet.

Policy for the silver vtr expires in September and i'll have some no claims bonus and hopefully it won't cost to much more to insure the vts conversion. Being 21 with 1 years no claim it shouldn't be too bad.

Main plan is which car to keep as I can't afford to run both. I'm still at uni so I won't be able to run both. However my dad will most likely use the other.

My game plan is to keep my silver vtr and take the vts engine amongst other performance parts from the black one and have a fast road/ good track setup. I'm still at uni so I won't be able to run both under my name. However my dad will most likely keep the black one.

Then keep the black vtr with the 8v engine from the silver one. He's wanted a saxo for a part time track car for a while so he will probably keep it.

The wheels however will most likely be for sale in the nearish future. Don't think they will suit the silver one at the ride height it is and the stretched tires and wheels aren't really suitable. Be better for them to go to a new owner than get ruined or gather dust.

Couldn't resist trying the schmidts out on the silver vtr. What do you guys think? The front is down 40mm and the rear is standard so excuse the arch gap

Booked the black vtr/s into Atspeed for a few weeks time to get the cam's timed at the seals re-done. Also dyno'd to see what power its running.

A correct lambda sensor on the way to help sort out the idle/ cutting out as thats a problem linked with no sensor.
Standard VTS and airbox on the way as I prefer the look of a standard one.
New cat back exhaust system on the way too as the one on it is past it.

The silver one will be booked into KrisB soon to get the rear lowered and at some point fit the flocked dashboard and morettes.

Also booking the black one in for some painting after the engine is sorted as I found this under the door vinyl. Only a small mark so not too much work needed.

Yeah I'm more of a fan of the 205's over the other wheels. Going to eventually get them powder coated in a slightly darker shade of silver.

Can't go wrong with that. Or gun metal grey, that works on silver and black cars I think

Few updates for the silver one. Fitted my morettes not to everyones taste but I love them personally.

Fitted the flocked dash and swapped steering wheels over with the black one. Dash came up pretty well still needs a better clean as its a bit dusty.

Not much has happened to the black one fitted a vts lambda sensor so it runs slightly better although it is cutting out and very juddery. Waiting on some parts to arrive and hopefully that helps a little bit.
Added a flocked red centre console as it didn't suit the theme in the silver one. Eventually find a red rallye carpet once the engine is running correctly.

Thanks, yeah I'm a fan of the 205's a bit different to VTS wheels. Think it was Gandi's saxo in the first place that swayed me to get some.

Almost finished preparing for French Car Show. Going on the saxp stand should be a good day.

First clean of the week only shampoo and dry at the moment may give it a polish the day before.

Also got the car lowered on thursday by KrisB. Top bloke amazed how quickly it got lowered. Down by 40mm on the rear now. Also fitted 20mm spacers to the rear to get a better "stance".

The black car however won't be going as it doesn't run well. Going to fit the new exhaust and fit the cleaned throttle body just waiting on some screws from Citroen.

Hi all not too much progress to show but may as well have a small update.

Went FCS have no pictures to show as the turn up wasn't good think there were 5 saxo's on the saxP stand. Still met some good people just a bit of shame really. Hopefully there is a better turn out for Trax.

Since then I've started refurbishing my 205 alloys starting on my spare. Decided to go with Citroen meteor grey (thats's what halfords label it anyways) just a rattle can job for now think its came up pretty well
Also picked up a new Toyo T1-R for £30, can't complain at that price.

Slight progress on the black one gave the ivc, map sensor, throttle body etc a good clean and now it runs pretty good. Sometimes cuts out when you take your foot off the gas but runs nicely when its hot.
Now need to sort the over fuelling issue as it smells very strongly of petrol.

Yeah I like how it sits at 40mm. Couldn't go any lower anyways the strut brace would get ruined. I've scraped it a few times already.

Got the second one all done now just another 3 to go.

Updates.

Nothing too amazing finished refurbing my 205 alloys in Citroen Meteor grey. Pretty pleased with them myself not the best job in the world but I think they suit my colour car nicely.
Brother also refurbed his vtr alloys in black went out and got some new pictures.

The black vtr/s is currently looking a bit sorry for it self waiting for some seals to arrive which should sort out some leaks making it run better. In the mean time The rear lights have been re tinted.

Also got some new wheels for it as the Schmidts have been sold. Decided to get a matching set of speedlines and have been painted white.

Also decided to check for rust on the inner arches on the silver one as I thought I better give it a once over before putting more into it. Fortunately they are both pretty solid the drivers side will need some sanding down and re-painting but at least there are no holes
Passenger side bit awkward for a photo

Drivers side
