You heard wrong
Track day was really good yesterday, only issue I had was when my rear inner arch caught my tyre and come off, quickly back into pits, wheel off, ripped it out and back on track I went haha!
Decent tyres make an unbelievable amount of difference, the R888s are insane compared to the last day I did on road tyres.
Few pics below, unfortunately the gopro batteries both died, which is really annoying as I only got 2/3 videos, and none in the afternoon when I was doing well, I am looking into other options, bars wiring it/aftermarket batteries etc.
Also fell I love with this car, made me look like I was going backwards.

This is currently tucked up in a friends garage, should be moving house shortly so will get it back close soon.
I'm looking to book castle Combe for September, nothing planned for the car just yet, perhaps new brake pads but that's it.
Just gonna start to save for the cage now I'm back from Amsterdam.
Quick pic of both of my cars after a wash and polish/wax the other week.

cost of second car = mods for current car haha
I've seen 172cups rising in price, but I think you're right, prices have levelled out for clios now, other than the high milage examples which are obviously cheaper and cheaper...

I don't think I'll regret buying my 182, fantastic cars for the money and me and Josh both had plenty of mods with the cars too. You can pick up a wicked 172 for around the £1500 mark nowadays, and £2500 will get you a mint 182.
Good thing about the FF BG's, they hold their value ridiculously, high milers go for just under £2k all day.

This is what I'm thinking, I genuinely love the Clio.
Ideal daily, fastish, handles well, looks good and then I got the gti for fun.
And like you said I doubt I'll lose money and if I do it won't be much

Insurance wise is a 172/182 more expensive than a Saxo VTS/106 GTI or about the same price?

I was paying £115 before now in paying £149 a month. Not loads. But obviously depends on age and location.
