Default S1 106 XSI Miami red ≈150bhp

Fancied a change from the saxo after 6 years, always had a soft spot for S1's so when this popped up I couldn't resist!

Wasn't the best start to a new car.. as on the second day of ownership the front left wheel almost fell off mid round-about. 3 Wheel bolts fell out so the wheel locked up against the caliper.

Nice VTS alloys ruined - but fixed it up (new struts etc) and put my bilstien B8s and Faulkner's on while I was there.

So used my steelies temp (mint tyres) until I found some alloys - then saw some cheap OZ super turismos that I plan on refurbishing after winter.

Few crappy fone pics:

Sold the Forza's - have some plain black sparco buckets now, sit alot lower and way comfier.

SPEC:

engine;

1.6 16v gti engine - which was professionally converted march 2011 when engine was converted it had all new seals, 0.6mm JP4 head gasket for higher compression, new timing belt and tensioner, new water pump, all new sensors, new clutch, slimline fan and engine was completely cleaned and painted + JP4 cam covers

708 cat cams
Head work / P+P
4 2 1 stainless steel manifold
2" rolled out pugsport
KN57i with heat shield
engine was mapped to 157bhp atf with 7800rpm limiter - have another print out with standard airbox / filter at different rollers @ 148bhp atf
S1 rallye 20cb90 gearbox

brakes, suspension, wheels -

GTI-6 283mm brakes with ferodo pads
Baker BM full engine mount kit
Bilstien B8 dampers + 155lb Faulkner - 35mm springs
Poly-bushed wishbones
Thicker front anti-roll bar and drop links to suit
Oz racing superturismos 15'' with Uniroyal rain sport 3's

interior;

Sparco fixed black buckets with 2'' cobra harnesses
Completely stripped inc shortened dash
OMP 6 point bolt in roll cage
compbrake quickshift and shortened gear lever

TO DO :

Swap over my mint poly'd rear disk axle with brand new calipers for the stiffer arb / bars set-up over drums

Get harness bars welded in as I hate where they're mounted currently..

Swap over my vibratechnic engine mount set as the baker set isn't stiff enough

Small things like wide / curved rear view what fits on the cage, cage padding, harness straps (so it doesn't take 5mins everytime you get in haha), roof wrap (same colour) as it has bad lacquer peel.

Not updated this in awhile.. Haven't done much to the car as I'm in two minds if I'm keeping it.

But I took it to pod, i let the car down and only managed a best of 14.9.

Racing excuses coming up.. Had a dodgy TPS which made my throttle really stiff, so was all or nothing, so span 1st and second up

Only managed 3 runs (they thought they saw a oil leak) so didn't get to run aside my brother in his S1 rallye!

My brothers rallye has my old jp4s engine from my saxo, and he got a 15.1!

Suprised the Evo until the 330ft mark he only managed a 14.1!

Still a good weekend bar the times, only saw 1 other S1, a blue Xsi on bodies doing 14.1s
