Default Brands Hatch, 16/17 Aug 2008

Here goes. Lots of different shapes and sounds, and to throw some entertainment into the mix, lots of different lighting conditions across the weekend.

Exif is there, hope you like.

May as well kick off with a pan

This 911GT2 Evo was the real thing. Very quick.

Nice old Ferrari 328 from the Ferrari Open. Shame there were only 7 cars for the 1st race

Fiesta ST at the bottom of Paddock Hill

Bike engined Jedis do their thing at Clearways

Highly modified Ferrari 328, hugely fast with it

911s New & Old at Druids

Another one at the bottom of Paddock

Tidy Mk1 Escort

Fiesta ST through the EnormoFence™ at Druids

Ferrari "388GTO" (actually a modified 328 ) chases 355 Challenge car - a battle that went on all race long

Jedis at the bottom of Paddock Hill

Beastly MkII Escort, oversteer-a-go-go

More Ferraris at Druids

Volkswagen Transporter Van-engined Audi 924 attempting Druids

May as well tie this one up with another pan

hehehe 1/30s, had to be done without Image Gayballbumsation... got a few around that speed from the day.

the black and orange 911 shot was done with the 120-300 + 2x TC - not bad eh.

black + orange + EOS + AI Servo = lots of contrast, nice focus lock and sharp shots - it's all good.

1/30s @ 70mm, duly noted for my attempt without IS... although I do recall a comment from you about IS not being 'all that' or something

thought the 120-300 w/2x was suppose to be a bit soft... fucking pixel pinchers coming out with crap. man I want this lens.

Christmas it'll be mine I swear.

IS will save yo ass all day long

occasionally the 120-300 +2x TC throws up something it shouldn't do. it's known for being soft but sometimes it just produces the goods once in a while.

120-300 will damage your arms if you go handheld all day - like I did at Llandow, and I'm not exactly svelte or lacking in strength... monopod all the way unless you're stacked.

bugger, that's why I opted not to get the 70-200 f/2.8 IS yada yada (that and the price tag - which I then blew on the 85 anyway )

*runs off to check lens weight*
