We just removed/lightened pretty much everything we could.
I've still got the wiring loom to do but i'm going to refit the std fuel tank for circuit so weight will go up slightly.

weight is everything My car's on a diet this year (as am I!). 500bhp/ton should be achievable with some fettling. Currently only using local weighbridge though - need to get my car on dave's corner scales!

Do they charge you to go on them? What is given? Just an overall weight of the car?

The public weighbridges charge about £5.75 if i remember correctly. They only claim accuracy to within 10kgs though, but I've found them to be quite accurate (when I removed 15kgs and went back, it did show 15kgs less).
Just search for your local one and it'll give you an idea of the weight for sure Cheap and easy to then figure out your power to weight

Cool i'll bear that in mind. Not much point at the moment as my car probably has the same power to weight as a kids trike lol

it gets depressing when you're over 100kgs yourself (like me) - and then your power to weight is RUINED by being a fat git

Wonder how much i have lost from my car then.
Its a VTR with 106 gti engine.
I've lost the spare wheel and holder, a subwoofer and wiring, 106 gti seats, fully stripped rear and sparco sprint 5 seats.
Maybe around the 880kg mark?

my car should be down to about 810kgs at the moment - not weighed it since the turbo went in, but also it got FULLY stripped at that point too - not a smidgen of sound deadening or liners left. Roll cage will have added a bit, as will the turbo and intercooler etc, but a lot got ripped out (10+ kgs of wiring alone!).
I'll get it on the corner weights as soon as I can find someone silly enough to let me on em for free
