2.428 1.937 1.473 1.238 1.086
just divide the bigger number by the smaller one to get the gear ratio
on a side note on the BE4 6 speed, the bellhousing needs drilling so the 5th/6th selctor can select 6th
the one on the left

i know it was done to an Mi 4x4 box and had to be welded up but the BE4 already has the tube cast in to it, it just has an 8mm hole in it and needs a 13mm hole
the only other issue is the reverse lock, it wont fit on a BE4 so will have to be carefull selecting 6th and not getting reverse

And why are they measured in a differnt way?. Can it be converted to the normal way?

what box is that??
the 1st gear is very long and the rest are very short, i think that box would be crap for a bosted engine, it would be very short for an N/A engine

ahh cool, I did wonder if the casting had any form of provision to it, I guess you have seen what they did on the MIx4 for reverse stop? easy enough fix, just weld on the threaded boss.

I'll see if I can find it, should be on the 205 foum now as the 405mi16 forum has been merged over, essentially just copy what a gti6 box has by drilling a hole andweld the boss on.

Its 1 of the drenth kit ratio options. Mine drives like N/A making peak power at 7900rpm so not really sure which way to go?

DERP, images haven't transferred yet in the 405-205 forum merger, so here they are:
Completed BE3TK2 Mix4 box.
Lift up reverse Boss welded on.
making the hole
cap for longer selector shaft where it pokes through into bellhousing.

ive put a buzzer on the reverse light switch that will sound in the car when reverse is selected so i cant get the wrong gear at the pod lol
as for hitting the wheel, it doesnt stick out further than the chassis leg
you could prob get away without cutting as much as i did

Does this gearbox use the standard BE cogs? The GTI-6 used thinner cogs I think so is not great for boosted cars. (and aftermarket parts are stupidly expensive..)

KAM looking at the gears they are the same as the standard BE ones so will cope with boost aswell as the BE ones do
cheers welshpug, after what you said last night i had a look at it today
the boss needed unscrews from the 6 box
and PSA very kindly put the provision in the BE4 bellhousing to accept it
it wont quite fit so after turning it down a bit
and then drilling the box and tapping to 19x1.5, the boss fits in the perfect place
