If i used a ethernet cable would it be a bit quicker than wireless or not bother? or just leave the router.

If you're not bothered about wires, go Ethernet.
Less chance of interference and better connection depending on setup etc

Yeah i can hide wires. I thought about interference but wasnt completely sure. Il plug the cable in the router than in the ps3 obv.

Im wireless at the mo because when I had the 360 I tore the end of the cable and havent bothered buying a new one lol

If you have the option always go wired.
Wireless is wank in comparison my wireless adapter was literally 2 foot from the router and i received a signal strength of 85% lol. Also used to cut out a fair bit
