Supercharging thread
Just a thought but there isnt much info on the site in engine/performance section about supercharging and the prices unlike the turbo side of things there is alot more info and guides.
Could also do one of N/A spec engines about different bodies, cams, lightened flywheels, etc.

What sort of info would need to be in it?
GMC is your one stop shop for supercharging
There's too many variables and things to think about that you couldn't really put in a guide without it being hugely long.
My guide for supercharging would be to read a few books about 4 cylinder tuning and forced induction, then phone GMC
Plus you have the age old saying, you can rake a horse to water, but you can't make it drink

It was just a thought as theres only basic info about turbo'ing and i personally was interested in what sort of costs it would be to do a build as more reliable than turbo'ing with being less strain on parts. Had a thought about buying another car thats all

Yeh no worries - I can put a mini-guide with costs together if need be?
Gmc have a thread where you can ask any questions about s/charging, although some bits are best discussed over the phone

I havent seen the one about gmc though. I think a N/A would be a good idea too i.e. The different duration of cams, whats needs changing to run certain cams and parts. List goes on lol. Just there isnt any guides for these 2 so may aswell try get one made up for each just for people to get abit more knowledge when choosing which route to go and whats needed, costs, where to buy parts, where to get fitted if not doing themself.
I think a N/A would be fairly popular as are loads of people out there going down that route and quite a few people with he knowledge to give and help people.
These would also help the same questions being asked all the time like he turbo'ing question and people not searching.

apparently you can run 7psi boost on standard internals? changing internals is very expensive but is 7psi boost worth the hassle? 14psi + boost on uprated internals

All depends on how much power you want. It's not just a matter about thinking how much power the engine can make, you have to think about gearbox, clutch, shafts, then the differential, exhaust system to cope with the power, brakes, mapping it up, cooling, oil cooling, intercooler size, injector size
