Private messaging - Auto reply?

Had a good look around settings and can't find anything to suggest that this is already in place.

Is it possible to have an auto reply function (similar to outlook's assistant) to give an auto reply to incoming PM's?

Something to use when going on holiday for a period of time etc? whereby the text content could be edited to say "on holiday until...." or even "currently experiencing internet troubles with limited access, feel free to contact me on...."

Could be handy?

This is a really good idea.

I've got experience with vBulletin and pHp Nuke and using a system like this could be difficult and put strain on the server.

Got to see what Simo says.
