Yeh, PH3's are slightly wilder than 708's, but still okay on standard internals !! Is probably the best to get, unless you plan on TB's later on.

12 people in a matter of days, by new year this group buy might be massive? Good price already jeeves, but if we hit say 20 people, will there be another decrease? Just curious mate. And keep us informed with the belts!

Looking good so far...

which ones are best for a vtr?

with induction kit, 4-1, de-cat,

will be remapped too.

want cams for best mix of power and torque, not all top end power in fuck all of the rev range

You'll want either the PH2 or PH3 cam. I'd personally go for the PH3 cam as it'll give you more power, but you should still get good power through the revs.

I don't know much about vtr's. But the pulley on them isn't adjustable, so for best results I think you'll need an adjustable pulley to get the most out of the cams when getting remap.

Whereas VTS's have adjustable pulleys standard which allows retarding and advancing of the timing to gain either more power or driveability (i think as I've read it)

I think Vtr's may need different valve springs, i think stiffer, for wild'ish cams.
Someone else will be able to correct/clarify this though, as I havn't looked into it for Vtr's.

just reading the GMC website about cams and it looks like anyone wanting cams for a VTR will need

Adjustable pulley £100 (GMC)
new followers £X (Newmans group buy)
stronger valve springs £45 (GMC)
new cam seal may be a good idea
just added gmc prices for a guide.

I'd get the cam seal, I think it's part number 023644 from Citroen. Can't be over £5 i wouldn't think.

I'd change to followers aswell. And whilst the cambelt is off, I'd change the water pump, and do the idlers aswell, might not need to do the idlers, but for the sake of £50 I would change them.

Also, will probably be best to replace the vts/gti camshaft oil seals, part number 080724 from Citroen - about £8.
