erykah badu is one of the greatest vocalists of all time imo. I love all the old blues vocalists
ive said it before, and i'll say it again. black music is sooooo talentless now compared to back then! la roux was right when she said it publicly
blu mar ten have remixed a few of badu's most soulful tracks to some nice little break rollers

yeah, she's amazing. i met her once at cargo in london where she was vocalling over DJ flight's set. sounded so good with the raw dnb sounds and a soulful layer of vocals over it.
she's vocalling @ a female DJ's night in my hometown soon but i have an exam halfway across the country the same day so have to miss it 
Another awesome vocalist. aplogies for awful vid, the track hasnt been released yet as far as i know

martha shaw - wade in the water
there are quite a few decent singers out there that hark back to the old days
the wolfgramm sisters are another to have a listen to
