haha. Id already made many trips to halfords, forgot to get a sump kep the first time, and a spark plug socket the next. So i couldnt be bothered to get some hose clamps, thought what was the worse that could happen.
It hits your skin and its well cold, then all of a sudden it starts eating your face and you end up runnign around like a madman slapping youself in the face.

Has anyone got a part number for the fuel filter strap that holds it in place or can you just get one from Halfrauds etc?

Great guide didnt recall you mentioned the direction of flow on the filter? they can only be fit one way so take note when removing/re-fitting

Thanks for this. Used it a few weeks ago.
Take the plastic covers from the new filter and stick them on the old filter as soon as you take the pipe(s) off. Easier than trying to stop the flow with a finger and frees up a hand.
10/10 for effort taking pictures whilst doing this

hi, nice work..i need a bit of help with mine i attempted to change my fuel filter today i have a mk1 vts but i cant seem to figure out how to disconect the pipes ??? were yours has the white button you press in then pull off mine does not and i cant see any other way of getting them off i tryd everything. i thought it was gonna be a 5 min job ended up giving up..any ideas please
