iPod Touch - Would you recommend?
I currently have the 3rd gen nano which is perfectly fine, until recently when it got a big scrach on the screen
I have been thinking about getting a touch for a while, ideally I would like an iPhone but I have no way of affording one.
Do you think getting a touch is a good idea? What are the pros and cons of the touch? I really like how you can have all your pictures on there, as well as all the apps etc.
Thanks

Well I own an iphone, which as you know is an ipod touch but with phone calls, texting and anywhere internet, and its an awesome device would definately recommend getting a touch if you cant afford the iphone. Watching videos and looking at photos is brilliant, screen is a really good size, games are really good fun too.
the main problem is that there are alot of apps that will only work with the iphone so you limit yourself from some very useful apps, you can mainly only download the games as you need internet connection for alot of the other apps (as long as your near a wifi hotspot you are fine).
As you already had a nano, i would say if you want a bigger screen to watch videos/pictures and you want to have a portable gaming device, go for the touch, otherwise if you just want to listen to music more i would go for another nano (save yourself money and pocket space!)
hope this helps, ask any more questions!

I personally wouldn't bother with the Touch, it's a crap version of the iPhone really.

But at a fraction of the cost. An 8gb is about £130-150 and was coming with £25 worth of iTunes voucher for free in Currys or Dixons iirc.
That hat looks familiar Ad, first page of Google? Lol.

Not much point in getting another nano, my current one works fine, just has a massive scratch. Got stuck under the passenger seat somewhere in my car and when my friend managed to get it out it had a big scratch

One of these anti apple people? Lol. I would like to get the 16gb one as I've only got 3gb left on my 8gb nano and I don't wanna run out of space = / Do you keep it in some form of case?

Yeah it needs a case as the back scratches so easily
Just found out they don't do the 16GB model anymore and the 8gig model doesn't come with the new headphones that let you change the track according to the apple webiste. Do you think if I got one from a shop it may have the new headphones? I guess I'd have to ask.

Thanks for all the replys. Just found out the 8GB model doesn't come with the new headphones that let you change the volume and track. That's what it says on the Apple website, might be different in the shops. Does anyone have the 8GB model?

Yeah they don't give you a mains charger unless you get the iPod. Bit of a con with the headphones tbh. Might just have to look on ebay then.
