I think you should have to submit the entry picture to a moderator who can then put it into a locked thread which is stickied. Change the title monthly, then place a link in the closed thread to a seperate one in gen chat that has the poll.

I see your point, it would be like the best car of 2009 threads that got full of spam and got out of control.

However we would just have to be strict on the thread...anyone spams they get warned / infractions as always and if the problem persists we could just remove the thread and the car of the month idea would be scrapped.

I think Pm'ing a mod with your entry would be far harder for us to manage.

Yes....and them people will ruin it for everybody else.

Maybe we will be pleasantly suprised by how it goes............



Nothing is going to happen right away...lets see how everyone else feels about this and see if there are anymore suggestions.

yeah i mentioned before about that for the car of the year ect just the same basis but with all 12 winners in a poll

strict no spam rules and simply post a picture and username of your nominated user

leave the thread active for the first week of the month to allow all users to view and nominate who they want to

after the week take all nomination into a poll only thread with images and a small spec list of each of the nominated cars where users can vote once only for a 2 weeks and have a seperate thread for spam as i'm sure it'll just get fed into multiple threads if there isn't one


after all voting has happened post a thread for the winner with pictures and full spec list

In all honesty, both those idea's are crackers and should work

All staff members are looking at this guys and gals....its not something thats straight forward we have all got to decide the best way of setting this up and a way to prevent it getting spammed etc etc as then the idea would just be scrapped.

This is a really good idea, like a magazine feature with a photoshoot and a brief progress thread. This could work really well

i think it should be done as a regional vote ie each region has a poll each month and there top car goes against the other regions into a poll giving you your car of the month

i think thats a good idea then it narrows it down better if each region votes, Then votes the top cars
