i was going to buy an impreza with no history an the MOT site said that the previous owner put it for an MOT with 4 bald tyres, the wing, bumper an bonnet were deemed dangerous due to sharp edges. I was told it hadnt been in a prang.
Nice claire

lol found out that when i got my car the garage i bought it off put it through its mot which passed. Never got an advisory slip and now i know why.
corroded exhaust
front and rear discs corroded
two rear tyres low on tread (already knew that)
Haha fail.
obviously all been sorted now.

It seems that my inner CV gaitor's have been split since a test in 08/12/2006 - I got the car in the air last week while the CV's were hot and the grease came out of one of them, which will explain why i'm having the replace the driveshafts.
Then on 29/01/2008, It has an advisory for rear window tints (LOL, I didn't think it would come up on an MoT) and it also has advisories for burning oil and coolant leak
I think the problems are still there.

Should always do this before buying any car, I had a near miss with a 50k car which had actually done 130k!!
Luckily I did this before because it had been clocked and the owner only had the last few MOT's which were like 30k/40k/50k etc

Mines been tyres each year for the years its been in the UK, its had a nail in the tyre for a few years lol stil there now. Also brake pads, apart from that thats it. Not bad for a 15 year old car.
And its done 4000 miles each year since being in the UK

Nobody wants to buy a used vehicle with bad history. This is why car/vehicle history check is one of the major things before you buy one. Thanks.
