It'd probably spam from you anyway
But seriously, you tried trying to do it with just one wordin the title, and then editing it afterwards?

Blank screen when trying to post threads
Get this occasionally, few weeks back i kept trying to post a new thread in general chat, wouldn't post, kept trying different titles and changing the contents of the post, no go, just loaded straight to a blank white page, no error or anything, and didn't post the thread. Gave up in the end, on writing a useful informative thread.
Today i am getting the same in for sale(the most common place for this problem) and i have tried posting a thread like 5 times and keep getting white screen.
Running firefox, no problems on other sites...

Ive merged half a dozen or so error threads into this one thread to keep things neat and tidy
Thanks to a report made by manicmotors this evening I have now ATLAST been able to replicate this issue and have hopefully fixed it for good.
The issue was related to the automatic similar thread search, which is performed when you post a new thread. SO if you post a thread with a title with something common like 'vts' in it, the database works hard in the background to come up with a list of similar threads, ready to display when you post your thread.
Ultimately, this was causing a PHP memory error... which has now been rectified.
Some changes have also been made to the search criteria in use.
Please if anyone continues to have blank screens when posting a thread, with a HTTP 500 error message, please contact me and let me know the THREAD TITLE that you were trying to post. THis will allow me to fine tune things to stop this error from ever happening again.
This will actually have had quite a significant effect on general server speed during the day, so hopefully going forward the server performance will be even better.
If problems continue, let me know... as I now know how to resolve this!
Thanks for your help Chris!
