Can't find the specific link for the GIAC map but this below has a comparison of the different tuners maps!

When I read about the GIAC maps they were a few people who were quite disappointed. Its just too smooth, so smooth you could easily mistake it for your original map.

I read that Shark can alter the map if you wish, so they can make it slightly more aggressive if wanted.

Too many decisions
Revo
APR
Giac
etc

I want the DSG map too, gosh knows how much extra that will be. Companies are not very forthcoming in posting up prices.

Great car - in the best colour too.

I've never understood the 'average' seats. Not exactly 'S' like.

I'll still most probably get one. ED30 is lacking Quattro.

I think I'm settled on the shark to be honest, its a while away anyways to be honest.

Yea the seats aren't so great, a set of RS4's would be nice! What power is the ED30?

This turned up today:

Not too sure with the controller, I'm just going for the stage one at £400.

Heard a lot of good reviews on the Bluefin's...£359 with controller and if you purchase through JJC on eBay they throw in a K&N panel filter.

For the controller it was an extra £150

Gives you freedom to change maps at your own pleasure if you want it
Allows you to read and clear codes too.
Can also set a valet mode if off on holiday etc

ED30 is 230bhp iirc

I considered these as they're great value for the money but I just can't help but think people like Shark, Revo, APR, have all put it that bit more time and effort with their maps. Super chips do ever car possibly imaginable.
Without read data thou it's hard to knock them.

Also a note I read is Revo were actually used by APR for using their code on maps.... How true this is I've no idea but doesn't sound good stealing bits of coding.

If you compare the maps of both the REVO and Superchip they are very similar. Looks like the REVO may give a little bit more of a kick around 3.5K.

If the price was closer hands down I'd choose the REVO but after all the good reviews Superchip get and the price they are hard to ignore.

Sorry to clog your thread Tom.

Haha no problem I need as much input on the mapping side. It seems that its basically just down to preference, out of the top 3-4 companies by the looks of things you cant go wrong.

Gave the car a quick clean today and grabbed some photos heres an update:

Since last time ive changed:

Loba motorsport single mass flywheel
Sachs organic clutch
Audi release bearing
Flywheel bolts/clutch fluid
Powerflex track use large bottom engine mount bush
Powerflex small bottom engine mount bush
GFB DV+
Pair of front HID bulbs
Rear number plate LED's
White Fog light bulbs

Bulbs didn't fix my headlight colouring, it is better but still not right so I think its likely the projectors. next plans are:

MY09 rear lights
Wheel re-furb and tyres.

Nah it's just the same noise as before it's still a re-circ it doesn't dump, throttle response and reduced turbo lag are the main effects plus once mapped the oem one tends to break a lot.

Yea clutch is spot on now all bedded in feels good to be able to drive it properly.

Erm, well some one went into the side of me.... my sisters best friend... right outside my house Pictures of damage to follow.

Since last time I've just got some MY09 rear lights and fresh Tax.

DSC00527 by T.walker5190, on Flickr

That's it now until the body work. The cars booked into the body shop for the following:

Shark fin aerial colour code
Front bumper repair
Rear bumper re-laquer
Door & wing damage repair

The first 3 pictures are of the door and wing that got damaged the other day. The front & rear bumper damage was there when I bought the car:
