As long as you are planning on keeping the full interior otherwise the Bilstein B14 kit sits high at the rear

I thought the height was adjustable? Im not very familiar with what suspension setup the clio's have and how they work. I am planning on keeping the interior but plans always change!

It is adjustable but a fully stripped out Clio seems to go a lot lighter at the back and even on lowest it sits higher than most people want. To be honest this is an issue with all the Coilover kits which use an adjuster platform at the rear. If demand didnt seem to be dropping for the Clio 2 I'd develop a rear coilover setup with Bilstein...

To be honest if I buy coilovers it will mainly just be for the better handling. I may even keep it an almost standard ride height as its a royal pain in the ass scraping and bouncing down our UK roads. Plus the garage fitted my exhaust clamps so that they are at an angle meaning they are lower to the ground than they could be if i had done it myself which is mildly annoying. That said its safer than me doing it with a jack!

Not too much to report. Sprayed the mirrors graphite grey to match the bullets and badges...

Got hold of a cup spoiler.

From this...

To this....

To this....

To this!

Then I deleted the rear wiper cos it annoys me plus it saves weight I also ditched the full size spare and jack and got some tyre weld....well if its good enough for the 182...

Just have a Skoda Fabia splitter to fit and also have some new dogbone mounts to fit.

I may spray the door handle opener to match and also pick up a Renaultsport badge to go grey also.

Not 100% on the RS badge though..

Car just needs a minor drop I think although I may go down the coilover route...not sure yet.
What it DOES desperately need is a set of Team Dynamics pro race 1.2's in 15" - probably the graphite satin colour as having them the same as all the other painted bits will be OTT imo.

Well you are only allowed Turini's/2118's/F1's or 1.2's according to Cliosport

Its mainly because they are light and Tweeks have got them cheap atm (probably won't be when I buy them)

What else looks good do you think. They need to be light really to take advantage of he fact the standard sport ones are soooo heavy.

Had a bit of bad luck recently...

The long and jist if it is that someone who worked on the car at some point in time only secured the alternator in one place meaning eventually a bracket snapped. Was lucky the cambelt wasn't taken out at the same time! Worse still i broke down at a pikey site with a flat mobile battery and needing to be at work in the next few hours!

Anyways its all fixed now. New alternator, tensioner and belt. Wasn't cheap either!

On the plus side I got my dogbone mount fitted which has cured the horrible banging on acceleration. The car vibrates a tiny bit more but its more than worth it as the car just feels so much better! A must do mod for any Clio 172!

Why are these "vs" anything? It's a track day not a race?

You're spot on with the wheels lol. I'm thinking about parting with my Turini's at some point and going for the 2118's, then F1's as my winter wheels.

Any other plans on the horizon?

I have a cobra monaco sport on order. Depends what I want to do really. Keep it or get a Megane r26 or 250cup.

If I keep it I will probably get a cage, suspension and maybe a turbo conversion.

But its quite easy to spend all the money modifying and never actually getting on track.

I'm going down the boost road next year, can't fucking wait. B14's are bang on for the money, just over £500 if you order them from Germany, many rate them.

Yeah still not sure at the moment. I don't feel like its too slow on track but it does feel quite slow on the road.

Not sure whether to go with b14 or eibach prolines and cup dampers as having softish suspension is not always a bad thing as my wet day at snetterton proved to me!

Ordering gaz coilovers tomorrow for my 182. Is there a reason you're not getting adjustables if it's track orientated?

Not read this but I think the answer is B8's and a lower brace.
