I think so but either way a more suitable box is on the way. Check my for sale thread if you are interested

VTS box fitted up this evening with help from my dad. Also had to get a bit brutal in the vice with my OMP brace, it was bent and upon refitting it wouldnt line up - obviously its hit something.
Shafts, starter, electrical bits, oil and struts to bosh on tomorrow then fill it up with oil

Enjoy the VTS box buddy, I think it's a great cost effective mod to do to any VTR, it pulls a lot better. I did the clutch too while i was at it.

Washed the clio today so I gave the saxo its first wash for a while, and got all the algae out of the window seals and door seals.

Just fitted a thermostatic switch for the rad fan, save me having to manually flick it on now. Works well for £9 delivered. Still got the gauge sitting at 3/4s though but I think I'll just have to put up with a duff gauge as it still works fine, just sits higher.

Reseated the exhaust and sealed etc tonight, was sitting wonky and blowing before. Also I've just had a look on ebay and sourced a new OEM rear brake compensator valve as the one currently on the car is tatty. Hopefully it'll turn up soon

I've freed up the old valve yet the adjustment spring is seized. Anyone know where I can get a new one to suit my new valve?

New bits to replace the old crusty bias valve and seized spring adjuster. Got these for a good price, so I'll put them on soon. Might need to run some lines if I cant undo the 2 that run to the offside caliper - chances are they'll be in mega tight. Not a problem though as I've got some spare brake pipe

Began this yesterday but then a mate came round so I had to pack it in. However I did manage to get everything off, in some form or other but the brake lines were well seized so they got friendly with the grinder.
So today came round and I didnt really want to use the old crusty flexi hoses so I put in a few calls to all the major motorfactors round here and citroen - no one had any. Luckily theres a motor factors at the top of my street so I went up there not expecting much, as they never have stuff in usually, and the guy sorted me some out from their other branch.
Old crusty mega hard to get out fittings:
New vs old:
Hard to find rear flexis!
Chopped up lines and other parts
Crusty hose with remnants of pipe fitting:
New valve fitted with new lines:
Bled it all up with the Easy Bleed after and job done - car locks the fronts up now on the gravel driveway instead of the nearside rear first, so it looks like backing the adjuster valve off has helped. Bit of a mission replacing it all just for that but oh well at least its all new kit now and not 100,000 mile old stuff. I'm tempted to buy some Bilt Hamber deox C stuff and leave the old valve in it now just to see if it'll "unrust" it.
