Td04-15HL is the proper code for them, usually if you can get a reg of a car whack it into "1st car spares" website you'll get tons of emails with companies who have them in off a similar vehical - worth a try ;p

viggen turbos cam on the 2.3 engines 235Rs td04s can't find anything under 150 myself
search ebay for saab td04 or saab viggen turbo unsure of how much you want to spend on the actual turbo itself although a t25 in saab fit would be good call to can't search very well on phone but if you do need help let me know

im not too fussed what turbo i go for in all fairness,
just one that will spool quick and not have to work too hard. and not cause me too many problems fitting it due to manifold design.
i dont mind paying a sensible price for a turbo thats in good condition (within reason)

only one i can find is this, others are £200+
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SAAB-900-9...item33639904d4
just concerned about the mileage and the fact its sold with no warranty.
I may ring one of our suppliers at work for a price on a recon gt17.

I wouldn't be put off that seller, they say they test em on the car, and bench test them after so effectively you will get a decent turbo, with no warranty that is the downside, you can always check it yourself when it comes I.e signs for seals going, cracks etc and if actuator is working right, especially the turbine to see if there's nominal play in shaft radial and axial

At them prices - it's not a really bad invest, ent, even if it lasts 6 month of everyday driving
I'm sure it will fit, the only problem with some of the turbos are the actuator hits the gearbox, so you may need to modify the actuator bracket (don't count me on this though)
And yes t25 will spool well and let you keep more boost than a gt17 at higher revs

its between a td04 and gt17,
although the t25 remains an option, ill just keep hunting for one on ebay until one turns up.
if nothing does, ill get a t25.
Slowly getting there

just had a thought on this your old turbo how boned was that? if it was just the wastegate cacked you could always get the flap welded shut then you can go for external wastegate will remove the actuator from where it is hitting then would be easy to mod the manifold for it to
