You'll love it as long as you don't ruin it during the build...

Your at the fun stage loads of new parts and the turbo power on its way.
I was ready to sell mine a couple of times during the build after having problems but worth keeping at it for the outcome in the end :-).

Well post man came today with this
First part I've had in a while that I can fit straight on top one was easy the bottom one was a headache just can't get anything on it but managed it in the end with much head scratching and swearing luckily cuz I've replaced the wishbones recently it came apart easy
Went for a subtle colour
This weekends plans are to mock up the intercooler and pipework to see if I need to buy anymore might fit my oil press guage aswell if I can get to the feed

Well as it's been a mega hot day I decided to do a bit of mocking up on the car to see if there was any more pipes I might need could only do so much as the turbo isn't fitted but happy with what I managed to get done also fitted my slimline fan so that's cleared a bit of room haha
Fan fitted
Then the cooler all mocked up getting excited now hahahah
Thanks for looking

I'm jus' sayin' and in no way take this as any form of negativity and I'd like to put this out there, that I am totally behind you with this project....
...but...
...I fear slightly that the intercooler is too big with a 17.
...I said it before, I know, I know.
But good update!

It's a fair point mate and maybe it is on the big side but it's small compared to some Intercooler's lol I will just see how it goes if it's to laggy then I will get another one it's no dramas really I just wanna get it running etc then can worry about things like that at a later date I'm not after galactic power anyway as long as it's faster than it is now I'm happy haha

I doubt it
we use twice the size with s/c
gt17 won,t have much lag -so time to fill it will be marginal
so cooler air is more power every time
every 10c increase in temp is -3% power by physics -but more like 6% in the real world

Tried it. 2 psi drop and awful lag twas a sad day.
It looked nice and shiny like Craig's as well.
The pipe run on them is twice the length of a small twin pass too. Its not got the lungs for it.
Takes away the responsiveness/n.a feel of the 17 but I hope not the same for this. Fingers crossed.

2 PSI drop? At what boost? How crap could the core possibly be? A wide, dual-pass with not enough core tube area might cause that much drop maybe... A single pass on like that would have to be terrible to be that bad.
The only issue I see with the intercooler is what affect it will have on the airflow to the main radiator. It may not be the finest design if it's a Chinese crap one off flea-bay, going with an OE 'cooler off something else isn't usually a bad idea because they tend to be quite efficient.
