Where roughly do you live? It will help with recommendations. I'm unsure exactly as to what bit you mean. I just replaced the radiator on my 52 plate 1.1 desire for £35 of that's of any use to you? I don't know the difference in layout between the 1.0 and the 1.1 but I think the thermostat housing on the 1.1 is metal.

They're my local parts supplier, they haven't failed me yet with parts, may be worth giving them a call? Have you also tried citroen or Peugeot?

Is it this part? According to the vehicle list (Fahrzeugliste) it should fit Saxo 1.0.

If it's the block that bolts onto the cylinder head that holds the Thermostat

This part is still available from Citroen, it's an EARLY type housing.

This is the same part for ALL Aluminium blocks for Series 1 Peugeot 106. This is why your dealer is struggling to find the parts for your 1.0

As all 1.1 and 1.4 alloy block saxos have the "later" type housing.

if it's part "1" then it's £183 from the dealer including the VAT. you'll probably get an equivalent online for much less.

The other part I think was less than a tenner when I looked part "10" that holds the thermostat in place.

It's still readily available from the dealer, the parts can still be produced as they are not "NFP".

Yes that's correct, it is plastic. Well you can get them in cast aluminium as well but they both fit the same.

Part number is 1336 81. it's really expensive at the dealer - but they can get it and it is readily available.

could try looking online with that part number?
